The Centre for Social Impact (CSI) is a national network of centres across four of Australia’s leading universities: UNSW Sydney (CSI UNSW), University of Western Australia (CSI UWA), Flinders University (CSI Flinders) and Swinburne University of Technology (CSI Swinburne).
The National Office of the Centre for Social Impact (CSI) sits within the UNSW Business School.

Why Your Role Matters:
We are seeking a National Finance & Operations Manager to join CSI’s highly motivated, entrepreneurial and purpose-driven team. This role is integral to providing strategic financial and operational support to the CSI CEO, National Office and CSI Board.
You will lead financial planning, reporting and operational management, while also working closely with the CEO on board reporting and preparation of board papers.
This position is based in Sydney, Australia and provides the successful applicant with a mix of working from home and being on the UNSW Kensington campus (2 of the 3 days a week).
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis and reporting on CSI finances, including budgeting and forecasting
- Provide strategic financial advice and commercial insights
- Prepare board papers and reports in collaboration with the CEO
- Develop scenario models to support strategic and budget decision-making
- Oversee systems and processes for project monitoring and risk mitigation
- Lead all operational matters related to the efficient day-to-day running of CSI
About You:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent with experience in finance or management accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and comfortable undertaking basic financial modelling
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, management and reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Experience advising executive teams and boards desirable
