Why Your Role Matters
The Library Exhibitions program bridges research, education and community by collaborating with University partners to stage exhibitions showcasing diverse research and education outcomes and special collections. The inclusive and sustainable exhibition program encompasses a variety of exhibitions and Special Collection displays with related, innovative public programs.
The role will support the Exhibitions Coordinator in the creative practice and practical operations of the exhibition service, including administration, planning, installation, promotion and reporting.
The role reports to the Exhibitions Coordinator and has no direct reports.
Main responsibilities Summary
- Supporting the installation and deinstallation of exhibitions and displays
- Assisting in event preparation and delivery including liaison with stakeholders and contractors to ensure that exhibitions are produced and installed according to plan
- Researching new vendors, securing quotes, and sourcing supplies and equipment
- Supporting the transport and delivery of exhibition assets and loans and performing condition checks
- Liaising with Library Spaces to schedule preparation and maintenance of the exhibition spaces
- Coordinating exhibition and event promotions across internal and external platforms

Who You Are
We are looking for someone who is aligned with UNSW’s values, aims and commitment and comes with:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience
- Experience with exhibitions and events in the Galleries, Libraries, Archives, Museums and Records (GLAMR) (essential)
- Practical experience using exhibition assets and equipment including projectors, screens, speakers, media players, lighting and control systems
- Demonstrated practical skills in exhibition production and fabrication, encompassing proficiency in the use of hand tools and framing techniques
- A strong eye for detail ensuring accuracy, quality and consistency across all exhibition materials
- Demonstrated ability to manage visual assets and write promotional content for audiences across various platforms.
- Advanced time management, organisational and problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and draw on AI technologies to streamline workflows
- Well-developed interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills to work effectively as part of a creative team
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively whilst adhering to procedural guidelines and task directives
- Knowledge of intellectual property, copyright and moral rights laws and conventions as they relate to exhibitions and public art

Describe your experience in managing promotional content across different platforms (e.g., website, social media, internal newsletters). How do you ensure accurate execution across various platform specifications (such as image sizes and character limits), and how do you evaluate the effectiveness of the campaign in terms of audience engagement?
