Why your role matters

As the TNE Senior Manager you will play a pivotal role in advancing the University’s global education strategy through the design, implementation and continuous refinement of Transnational Education (TNE) programs and strategic partnerships. 

About the Role

Reporting to the Director, TNE, and based within the University Office of Global Affairs (UOGA), the role combines strategic foresight, project leadership, and institutional coordination to ensure the delivery of high-impact, scalable education models aligned with the University’s academic, operational, and financial goals

The role leads cross-functional initiatives from ideation through to implementation, supporting institutional decision-making, policy development, and governance. Working in partnership with academic and professional leaders, external partners, industry and agencies, the role ensures global education initiatives are high-impact, innovative, and financially and academically sustainable.

About You

You will have extensive experience in Transnational Education (TNE), combined with strong strategic acumen. You will bring a strategic mindset to operational planning, possess a sharp eye for detail and demonstrate a consistent ability to follow through and deliver results. More specifically you will have:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale or high-value projects in a complex organisation, with demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, policy, governance, compliance and stakeholder engagement in both the Australian and international education context.
  • extensive knowledge of the key operational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements for onshore and offshore higher education delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • demonstrated experience identifying challenges, analyse complex issues, and developing and implementing innovative solutions, enhancing international education, and transnational partnerships.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including negotiating shared outcomes and managing competing priorities across organisational boundaries. Strong leadership capability, including experience coaching or mentoring others, managing teams in matrix environments, or leading communities of practice.
  • Strong digital capability to support data-informed strategic decision-making, including systems used in higher education planning and delivery.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.

Demonstrated experience in developing and managing complex budgets, resource planning and financial modelling for large-scale international education initiatives.
