Why Your Role Matters:
The Lab and Device team provides oversight, governance and end-to-end specialist IT support for devices, teaching and research labs as well as associated software, across the Canberra Faculty.
Reporting to the Lab and Device Manager, this new position plays an integral technical role in the team assisting and guiding staff, students and working with vendors to deliver and support core business functions.
Substantial analytical and problem-solving capabilities, as well as the capacity to establish productive relationships with vendors and stakeholders are a core skill set demanded by the role.
Accountabilities:
In this role you will provide level 2-3 support for all Lab and Devices-related incidents and requests, offer excellent customer service and contribute to a variety of projects.
This role will be heavily involved in supporting our exciting teaching and research activities allowing you to support IT across Computer Science, Engineering, Science, and more.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
- Relevant tertiary degree in a related field with subsequent relevant experience, or at least 3 years’ equivalent solid experience in app packaging.
- Demonstrated understanding of a range of IT systems and applications including Windows SOE engineering.
- Knowledge of and current experience with Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune to build, deploy, maintain and secure the Windows SOE environment.
- Well-developed time management skills with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadline.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability in handling difficult client interactions while maintaining high level of client satisfaction including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff in easily understood terms.
