Why Your Role Matters:
As part of our Student Administrative Services Team (SAS) under the broader portfolio of Student Life and Experience, you will be supporting students from admission through to graduation. These 2 additional officers will focus on our key client – Department of Defence. We are looking for someone who is team-minded and values excellent customer service and accuracy. In return, you will be offered full training and development in this role.
Accountabilities include:
- Responding to enquiries from internal and external customers (in-person, telephone and written), initiate appropriate action and refer as appropriate.
- Participate in graduation ceremonies, careers markets, open days, orientation and other events.
- Providing administrative support across all student administration functions including but not limited to admission, enrolment, credit, assessment, scheduling and graduation.
- Contributing to the maintenance of systems, processes and procedures within SAS.
- Bring a high-energy personality with a passion for customer service and a drive to create a positive, team-focused environment.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
- Relevant administrative experience, including the ability to consult and liaise internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of authority.
- Experience drafting correspondence and briefing notes both independently and as a part of a team.
- An understanding of tertiary education.
- Demonstrated high level communication ability, including the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with people from differing backgrounds both on technical and non-technical levels.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage moderately complex tasks with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Highly developed organisational skills and proven ability to work within strict deadlines in a busy and varied office environment.
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, internet and email, and demonstrated ability to learn and implement new systems.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
