The Division of Societal Impact, Equity and Engagement (SIEE) is responsible for supporting a diverse and inclusive staff and student community and working with partner communities and broader society towards positive change. The Division of Societal Impact, Equity and Engagement is also responsible for several KPIs for staff and student equity
Why your Role Matters
The Networks & Partnerships Manager role is newly created in the Partnerships and External Engagement team. The Networks & Partnerships Manager role will contribute to the development and implementation of a UNSW partnership framework and partnership networks in the Societal Impact Equity and Engagement Team. The role will include managing internal stakeholders and supporting strategic initiatives.
The role reports to the Director, Partnerships and Engagement and has no direct reports.
Accountabilities
Specific accountabilities for this role include:
- Support the Director, External Engagement and Partnerships in the implementation of a new Partnership Program and other strategic initiatives and activities.
- Lead the development of content to build academic capabilities to manage partnerships and engage for greater impact.
- Develop and utilise databases and systems to support external stakeholder relationship management.
- Develop and deliver high-quality communications materials for external partners and internal stakeholders, including briefings, reports, proposals and correspondence that support strategic objectives.
- Manage relationships with partners across industry, government and community.
- Manage and coordinate priority partner projects.
- Lead the establishment and coordination of cross-university networks to enhance collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strengthen cross faculty and divisional engagement.
- Plan and execute engagement activities such as events, meetings and stakeholder management.
- Identify and assess opportunities to amplify our excellence and build our networks
- Build, lead and maintain effective, proactive working relationships across the Division of Societal Impact, Equity and Engagement to leverage resources and align activities with the Divisional Strategy
Skills & Experience
- A relevant tertiary degree with extensive experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience in a relevant discipline.
- Strong project management capabilities with strategic thinking skills and ability to drive initiatives to completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and an ability to produce effective briefings and presentations using Powerpoint and other tools.
- Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation
- Experience in coordinating events and meetings.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide effective customer service and support to stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a highly adaptable a consultative manner to deliver the best outcomes.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines.
