Details of the role
A Project Officer (Accreditation) plays a vital role in the Education & Student Experience team in the Faculty of Medicine and Health. The position is responsible for coordinating and delivering accreditation processes for a range of disciplines within the School of Health Sciences (SoHS), ensuring the compliance of programs with external regulatory standards established by professional accrediting bodies. The Project Officer (Accreditation) will collaborate with academic leaders, the Academic Programs Quality team, and other professional staff to ensure that the Faculty’s programs remain consistently aligned with evolving accreditation requirements.
Some key skills required:
- Tertiary qualifications with subsequent relevant experience in accreditation, quality assurance, and/or higher education administration.
- A deep understanding of accreditation processes, regulatory frameworks, and compliance standards.
- Proven experience in developing and managing accreditation systems, including data collection and reporting.
- Excellent project coordination skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgment and initiative.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders at all levels across an organisation.
- A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly proficient in computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications and demonstrated ability to learn new systems.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
