The Marketing & Digital Experience (M&DX) portfolio is dedicated to enhancing UNSW’s global brand reputation, driving engagement, and supporting data-driven decision-making to achieve the university’s strategic goals. The Senior Pricing Analyst will play a critical role in shaping and embedding UNSW’s pricing strategy across educational and service offerings.  

Working closely with unit leadership, cross-divisional stakeholders, and external consultants, the role supports the development of scalable pricing frameworks, models, and tools that guide consistent, data-driven pricing decisions across the university. This role requires strong analytical and commercial acumen, along with practical experience in building pricing infrastructure and delivering high-quality, actionable insights. The Senior Pricing Analyst will lead and support strategic pricing initiatives, improve underlying processes, monitor pricing performance, and contribute to the long-term commercial sustainability of UNSW’s offerings. 

This is a new fixed-term role funded until December 2025 with no direct reports. 

Responsibilities Summary 

  • Lead and support projects related to pricing strategy, including design, toolkit development, and implementation of consistent pricing practices across portfolios 

  • Coordinate with stakeholders across divisions to ensure alignment and successful implementation of pricing strategies 

  • Work closely with business leadership to shape pricing strategy, test commercial assumptions, and ensure pricing approaches are effective, equitable, and aligned to the university’s values and strategic priorities 

  • Improve and maintain pricing processes, tools, and documentation to support consistent and efficient pricing operations 

  • Build and maintain dashboards, dynamic models, and scenario analyses to assess pricing performance and inform decisions aligned with the university’s values and strategic priorities 

  • Conduct pricing analysis across customer segments and offerings, using market data and other research to identify optimisation opportunities and support strategic pricing decisions 

  • Support pricing for new offerings or strategic initiatives by providing timely, evidence-based input and ensuring alignment with overall pricing strategy 

  • Prepare clear, well-structured reports and presentations to communicate pricing insights, performance updates, and recommendations to senior stakeholders 

Who You Are 

We are looking for someone who is excited about UNSW’s vision and values and an excellent communicator. We’d love you to come equipped with: 

  • Demonstrated experience in a pricing, commercial or strategic role, related to pricing. We value external knowledge and expertise so Higher Education experience in not essential 

  • Knowledge of pricing frameworks and commercial modelling, with the ability to distil large volumes of information into clear, actionable insights 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data accurately 

  • Experience developing tools, models, and dashboards (e.g. in Excel, Power BI) to support pricing and commercial decisions 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality outputs on time 

  • Demonstrated experience dealing with stakeholders at senior leadership level
