The role of Senior Change Manager is a hands-on role that involves working with a wide range of stakeholders across UNSW to support and drive the objectives of the UNSW investment portfolio projects. The Senior Change Manager reports to the Director Engagement and Change and works closely with the Project Manager and the Project Sponsor. The Senior Change Manager is responsible for the delivery of a consistent change approach for the project and will work with the key stakeholders to develop change plans, communications, and training activities to complement the culture and engagement needs of all impacted entities.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or solid experience in delivering effective change management in large scale project include changes to people, structures, technology, process, finance, and operations.
- Effective self-leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, and importantly, the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Knowledge and experience of working with a project management framework, including linking this with change management deliverables.
- Capacity to plan to achieve priority outcomes and respond flexibly to changing and at times ambiguous environments; Ability to work systematically to resolve problems, identify causes, anticipate implications, and make informed decisions.
- Experience in designing and applying fit-for-purpose change approaches and deliverables; An understanding of the context and culture of the higher education sector (preferred but not essential).
- Strong analytical and proven ability to quickly understand complex business and systems and provide a suited solution for clients.
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to write concisely and persuasively to a wide range of audiences, in particular to governance committees.
- Demonstrated ability to continually improve and proactively problem solve.
- High level organisational skills with the ability to deal with multiple tasks, establish priorities and meet strict and/or tight deadlines.
