Why Your Role Matters:
We’re seeking three Finance Analysts to join our Finance Business Partnering (FBP) team at UNSW, supporting key areas of the University: The Faculty of Medicine & Health, the Faculty of Engineering, and the Division of Education & Student Experience.

As a Finance Analyst, you’ll be responsible for delivering a range of financial management activities including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, modelling, and reporting across multiple funding sources. You’ll work with large, complex data sets to provide insights and support informed decision-making that contributes to the success of these diverse portfolios.

We’re looking for analytical thinkers with strong attention to detail and excellent business partnering skills to help drive financial performance and support the meaningful work we do at UNSW.

Who You Are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and completion of a CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent) and relevant professional sector experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, business partnering and financial control processes, financial analysis, providing accurate operational advice and delivering financial services.
  • Well-developed audience appropriate communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to inform, persuade and negotiate successfully with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound working knowledge of analytical tools, in particular, a good level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its application in financial modelling and analysis as well as computer applications, enterprise systems, and the delivery of reports and presentations.
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines, adopting a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
