Why Your Role Matters:
As the Finance Support Services Supervisor, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial processes and accounting activities that underpin the day-to-day operations of UNSW’s Faculties and Divisions.
Leading a team of Finance Services Support Officers, you’ll ensure that finance operations and transactions are accurate, efficient, and aligned with best practices.
Your expertise will guide stakeholders through complex financial processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with financial frameworks and policies.
By fostering collaboration across the Finance team and providing exceptional customer service, you’ll contribute to the integrity and effectiveness of UNSW’s financial management, supporting the university’s strategic objectives and operational excellence.
Who You Are:
You bring a strong foundation in financial management, with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and professional experience, complemented by progress towards a CA or CPA qualification (desirable). Your expertise includes interpreting financial policies, applying controls, and effectively communicating complex financial information.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including financial modelling and analysis, and experienced with enterprise financial systems such as PeopleSoft, you have a proven track record in leveraging technology to achieve results.
As a capable leader, you excel at mentoring, developing, and motivating teams to deliver value to stakeholders while maintaining exceptional customer service.
Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage competing deadlines ensure high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
With refined communication and interpersonal skills, you collaborate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders, consistently meeting expectations and driving operational excellence.
