Why Your Role Matters:
Oversee and manage the delivery of UNSW People and Culture projects, drive workstream project plans and ensure consistent quality assurance aligning to UNSW's governance pathways

You will play an important role within a multidisciplinary HR compliance program to manage the delivery of project initiatives, utilising best practices in project and risk management, and ensuring alignment with UNSW governance standards. You'll partner with stakeholders to monitor and communicate project progress, identify challenges, and recommend effective solutions, confidently coordinating change management, training activities and program-related documentation.

This role works closely with the PMO Lead to monitor and support the progress of the project streams to ensure seamless delivery against the program timeline, objectives, and governance practices.

Who You Are: We're looking for a Project Manager with excellent coordination skills to drive projects to completion. Bringing a practiced understanding of effective governance and setting standards for projects/programs, you’ll  thrive on problem-solving and hold strong stakeholder management skills to further the project's objectives of ensuring process uplift and optimisation, alongside the following skills and experience:

  • Proven project management experience, with a good understanding of the project life cycle and strategic development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
  • Excellent consultation, influencing and negotiation skills and proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills and proven capacity to exercise initiative, flexibility and to be proactive in development of robust solutions to problems.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively with a range of people at different levels.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, resource and vendor allocation procedures.
  • High level of experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including MS Office
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative
