  • Employment Type: Full Time, Fixed term to February 2027 (35-hour week)
    (This position is open to Part Time employment: 3 days a week minimum, Pro Rata)
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (The successful candidate will work on campus minimum three days a week)

The Centre for Social Impact (CSI) is a non-profit, national research and education centre dedicated to igniting social change for a better world. Established in 2008, CSI is a collaboration of four leading Australian universities; UNSW, UWA, Swinburne and Flinders, and is supported by a national team based at UNSW Sydney.


Position Summary:

The National Digital Marketing Officer will be primarily responsible for managing digital ad campaigns, content production, digital growth, and measurement, as well as supporting national brand development across the Centre for Social Impact’s social media channels, website and newsletter. The position works closely with the National Communications Director, covering a broad range of topics including research, education, corporate communications, and social impact issues.


Accountabilities:

  • Oversee and manage digital advertising efforts across platforms such as Meta, and LinkedIn, ensuring campaigns are effectively aligned with organisational goals and deliver measurable results.
  • Develop and implement innovative digital advertising campaigns to drive student recruitment and engage survey participants, with a focus on optimising performance, maximizing reach, and supporting growth initiatives.
  • Lead digital marketing acquisition strategy and implementation for our growing suite of professional development programs, scholarships and research projects.
  • Conduct A/B testing on ads to refine messaging, visuals, and placements, ensuring continuous improvement and optimising campaigns to increase audience engagement.
  • Allocate and track advertising budgets effectively to maximise reach and engagement within financial parameters.
  • Provide detailed reports on campaign performance, including actionable insights and recommendations for future campaigns.
  • Create and manage our social media content across LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube and Meta daily.
  • Oversee and manage monthly newsletter content production and distribution to 14,000 subscribers.

Skills and Experience:

To be considered you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with a depth of subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Proven expertise in managing digital ad campaigns and content curation across most digital mediums including web, video and social media.
  • A strong understanding of CMS, UX, UTM tracking, SEO, SEM and digital marketing analytics.
  • Excellent communication, written and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to build and manage successful stakeholder relationships to enable delivery of high-quality content that achieves agreed objectives.
  • Understanding of target audiences, with an effective writing style and ability to deliver high-impact messaging to key audiences.
  • Experience working or volunteering in the social impact sector, preferably in the not-for-profit or higher education sectors.
