Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Health Leadership and Management

  • Employment Type: Full-time (35 hour week)
  • Duration: 5 year fixed term contract
  • Remuneration: Level B/C dependent on experience. $119,440 - $166,436 + 17% Super and leave loading
  • Location: 4 days per week at Westmead, 1 day per week in Randwick
  • Full Australian working rights required for the duration of the contract

About the role:

The School of Population Health (SPH) is collaborating with the Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) to deliver a program to develop the health leadership and management (HLM) capacity of the District. A SPH Lecturer (Level B)/ Senior Lecturer (Level C) in Health Leadership and Management will be an embedded position with the WSLHD.

The role organisationally reports to Professor of Health Leadership and Management in SPH. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the WSLHD to advance the District’s health leadership and management development program. Under the direction of the WSLHD Chief Executive and SPH Professor HLM, you will undertake activities aimed at enhancing the WSLHD organisational development, management and leadership capabilities including providing advice, direction and appropriate academic support to the WSLHD Health Management program.

You will also contribute to educational and research excellence in the HLM program of the School. Teaching into the Master of HLM Program, you will provide a course that is of high-quality, based on current literature and policy materials, and aligned with industry needs and challenges. You will also engage in health systems and services research studies within WSLHD.
