External Engagement Coordinator (Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture)

  • Employment Type: Full Time (35 hours per week)
  • Duration: Continuing
  • Remuneration: Level 6 from $103,866 (depending on experience) + 17% super + leave loading
  • Location: UNSW Kensington Campus, NSW (hybrid)

Why Your Role Matters:

The External Engagement Coordinator plays a vital role in strengthening UNSW’s connections with alumni, industry, and partners. Based within the Faculty of Arts, Design & Architecture (ADA), this position supports the planning and delivery of dynamic engagement and partnership activities that elevate the Faculty’s public profile and foster meaningful relationships.

You’ll help ensure ADA’s engagement initiatives align with the UNSW Progress for All Strategy, driving positive societal impact and reinforcing UNSW’s reputation as a global leader in education, creativity, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support engagement activities, events, and digital campaigns that connect alumni, industry, and partners with ADA.
  • Develop and maintain engaging web and email content that promotes Faculty initiatives and achievements.
  • Collaborate with Faculty colleagues and central UNSW teams to ensure alignment and consistency of engagement strategies.
  • Provide excellent alumni support and ensure data is managed responsibly in accordance with University protocols.
  • Track and evaluate engagement outcomes to support continuous improvement.
  • Assist with event delivery and administrative support for key projects and Faculty initiatives.

About You:

You’re a creative and organised communicator with experience in engagement, marketing, or relationship management. You thrive on collaboration, bring fresh ideas to connect with diverse audiences, and are passionate about building community and impact.

You’ll have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in communications, marketing, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to tone and audience.
  • Experience creating digital content and managing websites or email campaigns.
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects and maintain productive partnerships.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work independently.
  • Design skills (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite or Canva) and experience in tertiary education are desirable.
