The Manager, Examinations Team plays a key role within Student Lifecycle in providing high-level advice on strategic and operational matters. This role will utilise their depth of knowledge and expertise across all aspects of the student lifecycle.
The Manager, Examinations is expected to have a broad range of knowledge and expertise across all matters relating to the Student Lifecycle but act as the UNSW expert on all matters relating to the management and execution of examinations at UNSW. The role has responsibility for the management, planning and execution of all UNSW end of term examinations and supplementary examinations, in a way which enhances the image of UNSW.
The role reports to Head of Student Lifecycle and has six direct reports. This is a replacement role – full time ongoing.

Plan, schedule, manage and deliver end of term examination sittings, including supplementary examinations

Develop efficient and effective work practices and assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures, IT, business and management systems that enable the team to provide high quality services to students and staff

Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders such as academic and professional staff across the University, so that examination policies, procedures and processes can be effectively managed and enhanced

Provide leadership, support and coaching to the team, developing a highly customer-focused team, with demonstrated commitment to excellence and continuous improvement
We are looking for someone who has excellent organizational skills, who is aligned with UNSW’s vision and comes with:
Working hours are generally Monday to Friday, business hours. During exam periods (3 times per year), full onsite presence, with Saturday and evening work, is required. The rest of the year, the role is hybrid. We’d like to have the successful candidate start as soon as possible.
Candidates will need to have ongoing working rights – this role is not available for sponsorship.
