Why your Role Matters
Join our team at UNSW’s Nucleus: Student Hub, where you’ll be the first point of contact for students seeking tailored enrolment and progression advice, managing webform requests and core student administrative processes. In this role, you’ll balance high-volume tasks with complex case management, combining empathy, professional expertise and a student-centred approach to guide students through their academic journey and ensure they receive the support they need.
Reporting to one of our Student Services Manager/Team Leaders, you’ll develop program expertise within a designated Faculty area and work both autonomously and collaboratively across teams. Your strong critical thinking, judgement, and technical proficiency will enable you to effectively manage processes, requests, and interactions, ensuring accuracy and quality while adhering to policy and procedure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about helping students, who thrives in a dynamic environment, and can turn challenges into positive results. In return, you’ll be part of a supportive, collaborative team focused on skill development, personal growth, and delivering an outstanding student experience.
Who you are:
- Previous experience in student services in higher education
- Demonstrated experience of operating in a customer service environment and providing advice to stakeholders on complex and sensitive matters
- Well-developed oral and written communications skills and the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of staff, students, management, and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative and judgement to interpret and accurately advise on administrative policies and procedures to resolve issues for students and staff
- Proven ability to work accurately and efficiently, and with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, apply a flexible approach to workload, and react positively to unforeseen or unplanned events

We support flexible work arrangements, with the expectation that the successful candidate will typically work three days on campus and two days from home. During peak periods, or as business needs require, this on-campus attendance may increase.
