Why this role matters:
The Digital Platforms Officer is a key member of the Operations team within the Career Accelerator and Student Engagement team at UNSW Business School. This role is responsible for the effective administration, and enhancement of digital ecosystem that supports the delivery of work-integrated learning (WIL) and career development learning (CDL) opportunities for Business School and AGSM students.
Working collaboratively with University and external stakeholders, the Digital Platforms Officer ensures that digital systems are efficient, streamlined, and aligned with the School’s strategic priorities. The role provides technical support, manages student-facing systems and productivity tools and contributes to innovation in digital solutions that enhance student engagement, experience and employability.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality, digitally enabled student support across the Business School.
Skills Required:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining digital platforms that support programmatic content and relationship management in a university or equivalent environment.
- Demonstrated ability to support programs with measurable outcomes that engage multiple stakeholders in either the public or private sector.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and report on platform analytics and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to create, publish and report on user and other stakeholder surveys.
- Demonstrated superior interpersonal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail to initiate and an ability maintain effective stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality presentations.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with a proven ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and to work under pressure, with some supervision and on multiple tasks.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including intermediate skills in the Office 365 suite.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
