Why your role matters

The Digital Engagement Manager (Student Equity) will play a key role in leading student facing communications and digital campaigns designed to engage students from equity backgrounds. This position is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies, managing the development of digital program content, and strategy development.

Collaboration is essential, as the role works closely with internal stakeholders, including Future Student Recruitment, Admissions, Scholarships, and Nura Gili, to deliver integrated communication campaigns tailored to equity cohorts.

Reporting to the Director of Student Equity, this position manages one Project Officer and maintains a dotted line report with the Digital Marketing and Campaign Specialist in Future Student Recruitment.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:  

  • Develop and deliver strategic communications, including impact statements, strategy documents, and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with various departments to plan and implement student-facing digital campaigns, ensuring they meet the needs of students from equity backgrounds.
  • Analyse and report on the performance of communications and marketing initiatives, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
  • Act as a liaison for Student Equity, providing expertise for media content, philanthropic proposals, and senior stakeholder engagement.

About You:     

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and relevant experience or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating with and managing a diverse group of key internal and external stakeholders on large and or complex projects.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively negotiate with and manage deliverables from external contractors and work collaboratively across projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in distilling complex information into straight forward messages for communication to a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexibly, show initiative and contribute ideas as part of a cohesive team.
  • A high level of technical expertise and evidence-informed development of multi-modal learning artefacts, tools and resources.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles and application of Equal

  • A full and unencumbered driver's licence and the ability and willingness to work outside of normal working hours and work at locations across Sydney and NSW.
