Why Your Role Matters
As a member of the Contract Unit, the Information and Data Coordinator provides vital information and data support for the delivery of the Defence Contract.
The position will coordinate, obtain and analyse complex data sets and produce data-driven, evidence-based data reports for the purpose of Defence Contract reporting and University’s periodic reviews. The position will also contribute to the establishment, maintenance and improvement of data management processes within the Contract Unit.
The role will support the team’s efforts and initiatives to foster good governance, implement best practices, and cultivate productive working relationships with University colleagues.
The position will report to the Contract Manager.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
- A relevant qualification and previous experience in information and data analysis, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience.
- Previous work experience in higher education is desirable
- Analytical, problem solving and technical writing skills.
- Demonstrated high level communication ability, including the ability to interact effectively and respectfully with people from differing backgrounds both on technical and non-technical levels.
- Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and manage moderately complex tasks with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy whilst adhering to strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to, initiate and establish new procedures both independently and as a part of a team, escalating issues when necessary.
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including advanced Excel (Power BI highly desirable)
