Why Your Role Matters:
As a Lecturer with expertise in the history of Australian Military History, you will support both the research and teaching activities of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Reporting directly to the Head of School, your role will also play a part in advancing the School’s international profile by contributing to the supervision of research students and undertaking a range of administrative duties

 

 Who You Are (skills and experience): 

  • PhD or close to completion of a PhD in Australian Military History or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience
  • Actively stays up to date with discipline knowledge and professional development
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design with experience using and/or designing with educational technologies and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level both face to face and online
  • Evidence of ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and support student equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines
  • Knowledge of health & safety (psychosocial and physical) responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
