Why your Role Matters
As part of a new transformation mandate across the division, this newly created position within the Marketing & Digital Experience portfolio will work at the forefront of marketing and digital innovation to support the delivery of our comprehensive Digital Experience strategy. We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to provide high-level Agile project support for societal impact marketing and digital experience initiatives. In this key role, you’ll assist Agile Team Leads with managing Agile workflows, driving process improvements, motivating teams, and building strong internal and external relationships.
The Senior Project Officer will report to the Integrated Planning Manager and will not have direct reports.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a high level of Agile process and workflow support to the MDX Societal Impact Agile Squad Leads in line with the Societal Impact Agile methodology to ensure smooth running of the customer aligned squads.
- Manage day to day Agile workflows include task triaging, coordination of a prioritised list of projects/tasks (backlog) and information distribution across the Customer Squads.
- Ensure compliance with the Societal Impact Agile methodology, defined processes and identify on-going process improvement areas.
- Lead the customer squad meeting rhythms including the Squad bi-weekly stand ups, fortnightly planning, and fortnightly retrospectives.
- Utilise Agile tools and platforms including Jira and Wrike..
- Participate and support delivery of planning processes including Quarterly reprioritisation workshops and Annual Planning workshops.
- Coordinate monthly reports on behalf of the Customer Squads to senior Societal Impact stakeholders.
- Train and mentor team members on the Societal Impact Agile Methodology (values and principles) and tactical use of the Wrike platform for Agile workflow management.
Skills and Experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
- Proven Agile project experience, with an understanding of Agile methodology.
- Demonstrated success working effectively and collaboratively on Agile initiatives with a range of people at different levels within an organisation.
- Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including Wrike, Jira and MS Office suite is preferred.
- Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
