Why the Role Matters

At UNSW, the student experience is at the heart of everything we do. As a Business Analyst within the Registrar & Student Services (RaSS) team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping digital capabilities and improving student systems across the university. Whilst it important that you have experience working with technical stakeholders, your work will mainly focus on understanding business needs, analysing processes, developing journey maps and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and the student experience, rather than on technical development or coding. The technical implementation of solutions is mainly supported by another member of the team, allowing you to concentrate on translating business objectives into actionable requirements. Your insights will help bridge the gap between business objectives and technical solutions, driving initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and create a seamless student journey. You’ll also support the Project Manager in developing governance, operating, prioritisation and resourcing frameworks.

This is a parental leave cover, until end of June 2026.

  • Support the Project Manager in developing a governance and prioritisation framework.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and make recommendations to enhance digital initiatives and student experience

  • Demonstrate UNSW’s values in action and adhere to all health, safety, and conduct policies
