The School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT) is seeking applications for a full-time position in Mechanical Engineering. This role will contribute to course and program delivery, development and innovation, in a team-teaching environment. It will also increase and expand the research and knowledge exchange profiles of SEIT to complement SEIT’s existing strengths. The position will conduct impactful multidisciplinary research and educating the next generation of Australian leaders and scholars in this important and growing field.

About the Role:
Role: Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering
Salary: Academic Level D $162,111 - $178,068 (pro-rata) plus 17% Superannuation
Term: Full-time, Fixed-term appointment up to 5 years (length of contract to be negotiated)
Location: Canberra, ACT, Australia

UNSW Canberra Recruitment Research proposal
There is the opportunity to apply for grant funding as part of the recruitment process. Applicants deemed successful in both the recruitment process and research proposal may be eligible to be awarded a research start up grant. To apply for a UNSW Canberra Recruitment Research grant, in your application please outline your planned research and how this research will contribute to advancing the profile of the School of Engineering and IT. The proposal is only open to staff that have been employed at UNSW Canberra for no greater than two (2) years*

The position is located in Canberra, ACT. The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this appointment.
