Why your role matters
This is a brand-new position within the Space Management Team, which will be instrumental in helping to build this new team.

You will be responsible for the UNSW spatial systems, data and reporting within the team whilst taking a lead role to innovate, develop and consolidate spatial analytics and advise on space solutions. As the successful Space Data Manager, you will oversee and manage Spatial Data Management systems, assuring process and data accuracy is compliant as well as be responsible for spatial data analytics, continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions for the university.

You will be required to deliver highly complex data and reports in a large, high volume project environment whilst contributing to the university's strategic space solutions and objectives.

Who you are

  • ­A self-starter who is able to negotiate organisational complexity and build relationships across the university at all levels. 
  • A dynamic forward-thinking leader who enjoys working in an agile environment.
  • Extensive expertise and experience in data analytics and project experience in building analytical systems and tools (Archibus/ SisFM / Power BI experience highly desired)
  • You have a strong understanding of analytical frameworks and technologies to enable problem-solving and trend analysis with medium to large data sets
  • Experience reporting and providing advice and analysis to the senior executive to drive change in complex organisational environments
  • Well-developed leadership and resource management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate to achieve strategic and operational objectives
  • The ability to establish priorities, manage tasks and meet competing deadlines
  • Understand customer scope/request and portfolio composition
  • Knowledge and experience with TEFMA space standards, space categories, space types, related industry standards and new CAFM technologies are highly desirable
