The School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT) has an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to start an academic career in engineering, computer science or cyber security. We are looking for applicants who are either in the final year of a doctoral program, have been recently awarded a PhD, or have post-doctoral research experience.
SEIT delivers research-informed education in its high quality, accredited, globally recognised engineering and computing degrees to its undergraduate students. The School offers programs in electrical, mechanical, aeronautical, and civil engineering as well as in naval architecture, aviation, computer science and cyber security to graduates and professionals who will be Australia’s future technology decision makers. It works closely with UNSW Institute for Cyber Security, UNSW Canberra Space, and the Capability Systems Centre.
Candidates may be appointed in a combined research and education, or education focussed, capacity. The successful position holders will undertake formal training and then practically apply the learnings to develop their teaching and research skills in their pursuit of an academic career. The successful position holders will undertake a teaching rotation to develop the capability to deliver a complete course, and research rotations where they will work to develop a research identity and the skills to apply for external grant funding.
About the Role
Role: Associate Lecturer or Lecturer
- Academic Level A - $98,342 – $105,185 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
- Academic Level B - $110,459 – $130,215 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
Term: Fixed Term Appointment up to 5 years
Position: Up to 5 Position available between the levels of A – B
