The Research Fellow will contribute to a research program in Forensic Mental Health. This position will play a key role in advancing the career of a forensic mental health clinician by undertaking research in collaboration with the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network. The position will support the research program led by the Chair of Forensic Mental Health. 

Responsibilities include: Contribute to the research program in forensic mental health; lead the preparation, research analysis and produce publications; present research in national and international conferences; draft research ethics and research grant applications; provide mentorship of undergraduate students on research placement and complete administrative functions primarily connected to area of research. 

To be successful you will have:

  • A PhD in forensic mental health, and/or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated track record in research with outcomes of high quality and high impact
  • Clinical experience working in the forensic mental health field
  • Knowledge/experience of working with the key industry partner, Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network, NSW
  • High level of communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines and build effective relationships
