The Future Student Enquiries Team is seeking applications from current UNSW students who are interested in casual work as Enquiries Assistants.
As a Future Student Enquiries Assistant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely advice to prospective students and other stakeholders via all relevant inbound and outbound contact channels and events. This involves understanding degree and admissions policies to effectively respond to routine enquiries, whether received by phone, web form, email or web chat, all while delivering a high level of customer service, meeting KPIs and ensuring that the team service level agreements (SLAs) are being achieved. Please refer to the Position Description for more information.
In order to be considered for the role, you must have substantial availability (approx. 4-5 days per week) throughout our peak period in December 2025 and January 2026. During this time we receive a high volume of enquiries from prospective students, in line with ATAR release on 18 December and various offer rounds in the weeks to follow. We also upweight our recruitment activities with large-scale outbound calling campaigns.
Please note: all shifts during this period will be in person, on the Kensington campus.
Following the peak period, Enquiries Assistants may have the opportunity to sign up for occasional shifts throughout the year, but the availability of ongoing work is not guaranteed.
Skills and Experience
- Current UNSW student.
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong level of computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to quickly grasp new programs.
- Ability to work in a high volume, process-driven environment with variable workflow patterns, whilst maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
- Demonstrated ability to work flexibly and productively as an effective team member and to follow direction.
- An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training

Additional Requirements
- During peak periods, you will be expected to work on campus for all your shifts.
- You must be available for all of December and January.
