About UNSW:

UNSW isn’t like other places you’ve worked. Yes, we’re a large organisation with a diverse and talented community; a community doing extraordinary things. Together, we are driven to be thoughtful, practical, and purposeful in all we do. Taking this combined approach is what makes our work matter. It’s the reason we’re one of the top 20 universities in the world and a member of Australia’s prestigious Group of Eight. If you want a career where you can thrive, be challenged and do meaningful work, you’re in the right place.

Why Your Role Matters:

As a Web Content Producer, you’ll play a key role in transforming the UNSW Current Students website as part of the Drupal to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) migration project. You’ll create, refine and optimise digital content that enhances the online experience for current students, ensuring they can find key information easily.

Working within the Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Education & Student Experience, you’ll collaborate with a supportive, cross-functional team, report to the Senior Content Specialist, and may have the opportunity to guide several student interns throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write, edit and optimise digital content for the new AEM platform, ensuring clarity, accessibility and engagement.
  • Audit existing content and determine pages to create, merge or remove.
  • Apply UX and SEO best practices to improve site usability and search visibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to produce strategic recommendations and accurate, student-focused content.
  • Support content testing and feedback sessions with students.
  • Supervise and support student interns in day-to-day content, training and user research tasks.
  • Manage multiple campaigns and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Provide relevant insights, analysis and reporting as required on existing content in Drupal and post-launch in AEM utilising Adobe Analytics, identifying optimisation opportunities.

About You:

You’re a skilled writer who enjoys turning complex information into clear, engaging content that connects with students. You have a strong eye for detail, excellent time management, and can juggle multiple projects with ease.

You’re confident working with stakeholders, open to feedback, and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment. You understand how to tailor content for different audiences - whether it’s local or international students - and you take pride in producing content that makes a difference.

You’ll also bring:

  • A qualification in communications, digital media or a related field, and experience creating web content.
  • Familiarity with UX, design, accessibility and SEO principles.
  • Experience with content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience is a plus, but not essential).
  • Experience with analysing and reporting on the performance of digital content using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
