Why Your Role Matters:
The Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of tasks relating to undergraduate, postgraduate and higher degree research student cohorts and scheduling, exams and timetabling. The Coordinator will head up tasks within the Team, manage workflows and workload, train and develop Client Service Officers. They will be required to cover all aspects of the student lifecycle and represent UNSW as required in our partnership with Defence.

 

Who You Are (skills and experience): 

 At level 5:

• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or extensive relevant administration, client services, project or people management experience.

• Excellent interpersonal skills developed to deliver the highest quality service and support and sound communication skills.

• Highly developed organisational skills to exceed stakeholder expectations and represent the Student Life and Experience portfolio as a proactive and productive enabler of service and support.

• Proficiency in a range of computing and technological applications used by Student Administrative services. Previous experience in higher education systems desirable, but not essential.

• Ability to engage a team in an effective manner, using appropriate guidance, motivation and development/coaching to ensure staff are supported to do their best work.

 

At level 6 (in addition to level 5 above):

• A demonstrated ability to adopt reflective practice to evaluate situations, outputs, processes or people (including self), leading to improved outcomes or resilience in a busy environment.

• Ability to manage projects and meet competing deadlines

• An application of knowledge and experience to analyse and resolve complex issues efficiently and effectively.

• Experience in the interpretation and development of procedures, policy reports and analytics. Experience with data and analytics desirable, but not essential.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Candidates must hold full rights to work in Australia to be considered for this position.
