Why Your Role Matters:

The Project Officer (Logistics and Operations) will provide high level support of the logistics and supply chain for the Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) programs. Working closely with the program team, this position provides a key role in delivering a responsive and efficient service to the POCT clinics in remote and regional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.

The role of Project Officer (Logistics and Operations) reports to the Senior Project Officer (Logistics and Operations) and has no direct reports

Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain management. While the mentioned experience is desirable, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every criterion—we value diverse skills, perspectives, and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, with a proven aptitude for learning new software packages and leveraging them to improve efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to understand, track and communicate complex data.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
  • Project experience, with an understanding of the project life cycle and development of project plans, objectives and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
