Details of the role

The Events Administrator provides administrative and event support to the Centres and Research Office. You will support Centres and Research team members with event support during an event, along with pre- and post-event administration assistance. Our events range from book launches to high-profile, large-scale events and conferences throughout the year such as the Constitutional Law Conference 2025.

The role will report to the Centre’s Team Leader and will have no direct reports.

 

Skills and Experience

Skills and experience required for this position include:

  • Relevant event or administrative experience gained through any combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the delivery of quality, professional, customer focused events or services to internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated effective organisational skills including the ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills with a high attention to detail across a variety of platforms including email, event communications and newsletters.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise and communicate with people from diverse groups and backgrounds at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel). Experience in event software and design – Adobe, Eventbrite and Mailchimp is desirable.
