Why Your Role Matters
This is a joint position between two of UNSW Canberra’s schools – School of Systems & Computing and School of Humanities & Social Sciences. Your research and teaching will focus on the ethical and responsible use of advanced technology such as autonomous systems, cyber-physical systems and AI, helping shape how such technologies are integrated into the professions, education and society.
Who You Are (skills and experience):
- A PhD in technology, ethics or a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and learning design using a range of pedagogical approaches, educational technologies and learning design, development and delivery of courses and programs, at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Experience at engaging and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds, supporting student equity and inclusion, and fostering independent learning through meaningful assessment and helpful feedback.
- Demonstrated track record in research and HDR student supervision.
- Clear evidence of the desire and ability to continually achieve research excellence and contribute to external research funding applications.
- Evidence of highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. Ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of students and staff.
