The Software Engineer role at UNSW Canberra Space, within the School of Engineering and Technology (SET) is dedicated to software development on a collaborative research project with industry. The focus of this project is the modelling of orbital mechanics, conjunction analysis and satellite constellation design optimisation. The position reports to the Space Systems Software Lead, with a dotted line to Defence Trailblazer Project Leads.

Who You Are:
You have a degree in computer or software engineering or a related discipline, ideally with 5 years experience using C/C++ or C#.
You’ll also be able to demonstrate your ability to work both independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently to meet project goals. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage effectively and respectfully with individuals from diverse technical and non-technical backgrounds.
