Clinical Project Manager (National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs)

  • Employment Type: Full - time (35 hours a week)
  • Duration: Fixed Term contract until 30th June 2025 (possibility of extension, funding dependant)
  • Remuneration: $123k - $138k base (+ 17% Super, leave loading)
  • Working rights: Full working rights for the duration of the contract will be required
  • Location: Randwick, Sydney.  

Who are we: 

The National Centre for Clinical Research on Emerging Drugs (NCCRED) is a national research centre that seeks to embed research in clinical practice. It aims to support clinicians to detect and respond to new drug health problems by building clinical research capacity and rapidly translating findings into clinical practice.

Why this role matters 

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a multi-centre randomised controlled clinical trial at NCCRED. This position will actively develop and implement practices and procedures to support the trial. They will be accountable for the design of study collateral, the implementation of the study across a minimum of six sites nationally, and the oversight of trial activity to achieve targets on time and within budget.

Some key skills required:

  • Relevant Degree with substantial experience and a range of management experience relative to clinical trials or public healthcare
  • Experience in delivering clinical trials on behalf of both the sponsor and site, either in industry-sponsored or investigator-initiated studies
  • Demonstrated project management experience, executing projects from implementation through reporting
  • Experience working with a range of computer systems and applications, including REDCap, excel, and a statistical software program (such as SPSS or STATA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Proven ability to influence senior management and stakeholders as appropriate to ensure successful outcomes.
