This role sits within the Finance Business Partnering (FBP) function, a team dedicated to delivering end-to-end finance services to our Faculties and Divisions and operates as central and trusted source for financial guidance and services.

Why Your Role Matters:
We're seeking a Finance Business Analyst to join the FBP team supporting the financial activities for the growing Faculty of Medicine and Health at UNSW. In this role you will be delivering financial management activities, including financial planning, analysis, forecasting and reporting across multiple funding sources. We’re looking for a confident performer to work across complex data sets for analysis, modelling, and reporting purposes to support sound financial decisions and furthers the meaningful work we do a UNSW.

Who You Are:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and completion of a CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent knowledge) and relevant professional sector experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in core financial management and financial control processes, financial analysis.
  • Sound working knowledge of analytical tools.
  • A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and its application in financial modelling and analysis as well as computer applications, enterprise systems, and the delivery of reports and presentations.
  • Exceptional analytical skill with adaptability to competing priorities and experience managing complex data sets.
  • Highly developed time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining attention to detail.
