Why your Role Matters
As an Organisational Design Consultant sitting in the HR Business Partnering Team, you will be involved in shaping the future of HR as we commence our transformation strategy.


Bringing your practiced knowledge of organisational design methodologies, you will take a holistic overview of existing practices to conduct a comprehensive assessment of our structures and processes to create forward-thinking workforce solutions enhancing organisational effectiveness, agility, and performance.  Working closely with senior stakeholders, this position plays an integral role in furthering UNSW’s ability to operate sustainably in a way that addresses the diverse needs and interests of our staff and students. Your role responsibilities include:

  • Conducting a comprehensive assessment of organisation structures and processes that impact our working culture.
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders to design and implement plans to support organisational growth or transformation.
  • Contributing to the definition or development of job and skills architectures as per UNSW’s business needs and strategy.
  • Uplifting organisational and job design capability across the organisation.
  • Developing change management strategies and communication plans, working with teams to facilitate transitions.


This role reports to the HR Director, supporting ambitions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, and align organasational designs that supports UNSW in focusing on furthering the meaningful work we do.

Skills & Experience summary: Confident across organisational design, change management, and transition planning, you will hold substantial experience within a large and diverse organisation, alongside the following skills & experience:

 

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data to inform decision-making.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to organisational and job design.
