Why Your Role Matters:
The School of Science has an exciting opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Officer to join a supportive team. This position will provide high level practical and efficient project support to the School Executive team and stakeholder to deliver outcomes towards the School and Faculty Strategies and initiatives.

You will succeed in the role if you have experience with supporting and delivering projects with skills in project management, developing communications and stakeholder engagement

The Senior Project Officer is pivotal in supporting school projects to drive initiatives. You will be responsible for overseeing project planning, development and implementation of School of Science projects working collaboratively with the school executive team to assist, execute and provide guidance on various aspects of the projects including administration, finances, policies and procedures.

Who You Are (skills and experience): 
Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated experience using a suite of software applications including project-based systems and SharePoint administration.
  • Excellent communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide high level proactive project support.
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships with colleagues and internal/external stakeholder to deliver successful results.
  • the ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team and to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.

Eligibility: 
The successful candidate will be required to undertake pre-employment checks prior to commencement in this role. The checks that will be undertaken are listed in the Position Description. You will not be required to provide any further documentation or information regarding the checks until directly requested by UNSW.  

The successful candidate will be required to work from the UNSW Canberra campus. To be successful you will hold Australian Working Rights or Australian Citizenship. UNSW is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position.
