Hospitality are specialists in delivering meetings and events for internal and external clients across a variety of venues, including the UNSW City Centre, John Niland Scientia Building, Clancy Auditorium, Science Theatre, and the brand-new state-of-the-art UNSW Streaming Studio. Hospitality coordinate and deliver the venue logistics and audio-visual support. We also work closely with the contracted caterers to ensure a consistent quality hospitality experience.  

Why Your Role Matters: 

The Production team are responsible for providing superior customer services, and delivering audio-visual services to internal and external clients. You will work on concerts, conferences, eisteddfods, gala dinners, video production and more as well as supporting core University activities on campus. 

UNSW Hospitality are committed to providing the best production services possible and have embarked on an ambitious audio-visual asset refresh with a focus on more sustainable technologies. Nearly 50% of our technology portfolio is currently being updated to ensure our team have the latest technology to work with. 

Some of the AV equipment and software you will work with includes NewTek TriCaster video switchers, BlackMagic ATEM video switchers, Dataton Watchout video servers, Allen & Heath dLive 3500 and SQ6 audio mixers, Sony PXW-Z280 4K HDR cameras, Panasonic AW-UE100 PTZ cameras, Hog 4 lighting consoles, Wirecast Studio and the Abobe Create Cloud Suite (free for all staff). 

You will be responsible for supporting event production and technical requirements for meetings and events, including virtual events broadcast from our new live stream studio facility. 

Who You Are: 

You have experience working within the audio-visual industry, as well as: 

  • Operating audio visual systems for live events 
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience  
  • Experience with live streaming virtual events 
  • Experience with NDI and Dante technologies desirable but not essential 
  • Availability to work weekends and outside of normal business hours
