About the role

  • $97,381 - $105,395 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading
  • 2 year fixed-term
  • Full-time (35 hours per week)

The International Development Coordinator will play a key role in supporting UNSW Business School’s strategic objective in relation to Academic Excellence in Education and Global Impact.

The position is responsible for supporting the development of activities and priorities around international engagement, particularly around recruitment of high quality and diverse students into the School’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and the development of key international relationships.

The International Development Coordinator will have a split reporting line to two positions: (i) the Deputy Dean, Education (DD Education) and (ii) the Deputy Dean and Director of AGSM (DDD, AGSM). This role has no direct reports.

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

  • Supporting UNSW Business School’s international engagement work, particularly in relation to student recruitment and strategic institutional relationships in close consultation with the DD Education and the DDD, AGSM as well as UNSW International and other stakeholders.
  • Producing a detailed annual operational plan and assisting in the development of the Faculty strategic plan for International Development detailing the direction, challenges and priorities for UNSW Business School.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the offshore region specialists and key international relationships (including universities, high schools, agents, scholarship bodies, government bodies) both on campus and overseas.
  • Providing advice to the DD Education & DDD, AGSM on international development opportunities, strategies, and student related issues.
  • Representing the UNSW Business School at key international student recruitment events, including education exhibitions and promotional functions, both domestic and abroad.

About the successful applicant

  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (such as in Business/Commerce).
  • Minimum three years proven working in student recruitment or related area, preferably in a complex large education environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a high level of autonomy, and a highly developed sense of initiative and responsibility, to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate complex policies, and the ability to draft and write reports and correspondence to communicate complex issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining business relationships and the ability to liaise and negotiate with a wide and diverse range of clients.
  • Flexibility to undertake international travel and engagement.
  • The ability to speak multiple languages is desirable, but not an essential requirement for the role.
