In partnership with the Australian Research Data Commons (ARDC) and based at UNSW Sydney, this transformational initiative is enabling the Australian research community and industry access to leading-edge data intensive e-Infrastructure, platforms, skills and collections of high-quality data. This newly created Learning Designer role will engage subject matter experts, provide pedagogical expertise and contribute to the Skilled Workforce Development strategy.

You’ll develop relationships with diverse groups of stakeholders in research focused environments on digital research skills uplift and workforce development to develop new approaches to learning and the creation of digital content and interactive virtual and elearning experiences that enhance face-to-face, virtual and hybrid learning activities. The role of Digital Research Learning Designer reports to the ARDC Director, eResearch Infrastructure & Services (UNSW) and has a dotted reporting line to the ARDC Manager, Skilled Workforce Development.

Who you are

You can demonstrate your knowledge and experience in instructional design for adult learning environments (online, in-person, hybrid), deep understanding of how people learn and strategies to help people learn more effectively. You’ll also have excellent verbal and written communication and networking skills to develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders, and ability to manage multiple projects with many moving parts within tight deadlines.
