The UNSW Culture and Development team play an important role in delivering key frameworks, programs and processes to help successfully deliver this strategy in areas of leadership, culture, learning and performance.


There are a range of inflight programs as well as plans to develop additional initiatives to further support the development of our people. Some of the programs are University wide while others are tailored initiatives designed, launched and embedded in specific areas.


Reporting to the Manager Talent and Performance, this role is focussed on effectively leading facilitation, coaching, projects and reporting to increase leader and staff engagement in performance, talent, culture, learning, leadership and career-focussed programs and initiatives.



About the role

  • $ 104,618- $ 117,875 (Plus 9.5% Super and annual leave loading)
  • 8 months Fixed Term (Maternity Leave Cover)

The successful candidate will be focussed on facilitating, managing relationships and leading projects that contribute to increased staff engagement in performance, talent, culture, learning, leadership and career-focussed programs and initiatives.

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

  • Facilitate face to face workshops for leaders and employees at all levels across the full breadth of the people and culture portfolio.
  • Lead end to end program, relationship management and delivery for people & culture initiatives
  • Provide implementation advice for leaders at all levels implementing career, performance and culture initiatives and using a coaching approach where appropriate.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities to provide tools, coaching and support to build leadership and staff capability in critical areas.

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with substantial relevant experience and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience. 
  • Extensive experience facilitating, providing expert advice and coaching, especially in relation to people & culture initiatives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead end to end project management, relationship management and delivery, including the capability to manage programs focused on specific outcomes that engage staff across diverse groups, working both autonomously and collaboratively across multi-function teams.
