About the role

  • $102,567 - $115,564 (Plus 17% Super and annual leave loading)
  • Full-time (35 hours per week)

The Division of Inclusion and Diversity is a newly formed Division established to promote a culture that encourages and supports understanding and engagement with equity, diversity and inclusion across UNSW Sydney to support the UNSW Strategy 2025 priorities for a Just Society.  Its key mission is to embed Equity, Diversity and Inclusion across the UNSW community at all its campuses to enable delivery of the UNSW KPIs for staff and student equity. 

Reporting to the General Manager, the Project Manager plays a significant supportive role by developing, managing and reporting on a range of projects that support the activities of the Division of Inclusion and Diversity.  This can include responsibility for planning, documentation and overseeing delivery; developing viability papers, business cases, communication plans and other documentation; stakeholder engagement; quality assurance and requirement analysis.

You will also utilise your strong management skills as the role has two direct reports.

Other role responsibilities include the following:

  • Supervise and monitor the total suite of projects sitting with the Division of Inclusion and Diversity
  • Project manage multiple individual projects
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Represent the Division of Inclusion and Diversity and provide advice relevant to purpose, audience and situation at various internal and external working groups and committees as required;
  • Identify trends, benchmarks, constraints, issues and opportunities for the Division of Inclusion and Diversity and make recommendations


About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant degree and substantial project management experience or equivalent competency gained through any other combination of education, training and/or experience. Relevant experience in the higher education sector is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development of project documentation including business cases, briefing papers, lessons learnt reports, project plans, project board packs, process maps, meeting minutes and communication content.
